These are the skills that are taught at each level of our Learn to Dive programme.

LTD Level 1

Skill Description
Forward Tuck Jump From a standing start with straight line posture, jump forward into the air, bend the knees pull them in to the chest with hands on lower shins, before kicking back out to a straight shape for entry.
Back Jump Straight From a standing start with straight line posture, jump backwards into the water maintaining straight line shape throughout.
Pike Fall Standing folded at the hip with a flat back at 90° or below hands grabbed arms covering ears, lift up on to toes and fall forwards in to the water hands first moving through a straight vertical line.
Forward Jump Straight From a standing start with straight line posture, jump forwards into the water maintaining straight line shape throughout.

LTD Level 2

Skill Description
Forward Pike Jump From a standing straight line posture, jump forward into the air, fold at the hips to reach forward and touch the toes keeping legs straight, before opening out into the straight line entry position.
Forward Dive Straight From a standing straight line posture, bend the knees and dive forwards in to the water holding a slightly dished shape throughout.
Back Tuck Jump From a standing start with straight line posture, jump backward in to the air, bending the knees pulling them into the chest with hands on lower shins, before kicking back out to a straight shape for entry.
Back Dive Straight from crouch Starting in a full crouch position hands grabbed, dive backwards into the water showing an extended straight line throughout.
Pike Fall Standing folded at the hip with a flat back at 90° or below hands grabbed arms covering ears, lift up on to toes and fall forwards in to the water moving through a straight vertical line.

LTD Level 3

Skill Description
Forward Tuck Dive From a standing straight line posture, bend the knees and dive forwards into the water showing a tuck shape mid flight before stretching the body and legs out for entry.
Back Tuck Jump + arm swing From a standing start with straight line posture, perform a "top-to-top" armswing before jumping backward into the air, bending the knees pulling them into the chest with hands on lower shins, before kicking back out to a straight shape for entry.
Back Dive Straight from standing From a standing stright line posture, bend the knees and dive backwards into the water holding an extended straight shape throughout.
Back Pike Roll Start in a standing pike fold hands grabbing round ankles, roll backwards on to seat maintaining a straight legged pike shape throughout.
Forward Pike Wedge From a standing straight line posture, jump forwards in to the air, fold upper body down towards legs, passing through the water in a straight legged pike fold hands and feet at the same time.
Forward Jump Straight From a standing start with straight line posture, jump forwards into the water maintaining straight line shape throughout.

LTD Level 4

Skill Description
Back Pike Jump + arm swing From a standing start with straight line posture, perform a "top-to-top" armswing before jumping backward into the air, bending at the hips to touch the toes with straight legs, before opening back out to a straight shape for entry.
Inward Pike Wedge From a standing straight line posture, jump backwards into the air, fold upper body down towards legs, passing through the water in a straight legged pike fold hands and feet at the same time.

LTD Level 5

Skill Description
Back Pike Sit From a standing start with straight line posture, perform a "top-to-top" armswing and jump backwards in to the air, keeping the legs straight fold at the hips lifting the legs and reaching the arms forward into a pike shape, land seat first into the water.
Reverse Pike Sit From a standing start with straight line posture, perform a "top-to-top" armswing and jump forwards into the air, keeping the legs straight fold at the hips lifting the legs and reaching the arms forward into a pike shape, land seat first into the water.
Back Jump Straight + arm swing From a standing start with straight line posture, perform a "top-to-top" armswing before jumping backwards into the water maintaining straight line shape throughout.
Back Fall From a standing straight line posture, stretch up on to toes and fall backwards into the water showing an extended straight line throughout.
Tuck Roll Start sitting on the board in a tuck shape, roll forwards and stretch the body and legs out into a straight line ready for entry.
Forward Jump Straight From a standing start with straight line posture, jump forwards into the water maintaining straight line shape throughout.

LTD Level 6

Skill Description
Forward Dive Tuck + arm swing From a standing straight line posture, perform a "top-to-top" armswing before diving forwards into the water showing a tuck shape mid flight before stretching the body and legs out for entry.
Back Tuck Dive + arm swing From a standing straight line posture, perform a "top-to-top" armswing before diving backwards into the water showing a tuck shape mid flight before stretching the body and legs out for entry.
Inward Tuck Dive From a backward standing straight line posture, jump backwards whilst rotating forwards towards the board showing a tuck shape mid flight before stretching the body and legs out for entry.
Forward Tuck Dive From a standing straight line posture, bend the knees and dive forwards into the water showing a tuck shape mid flight before stretching the body and legs out for entry.
Back Fall, arms down From a standing straight line posture with arm on top of thighs, stretch up on to toes and fall backwards into the water showing an extended straight line throughout.
Forward Fall Straight From a standing straight line posture with arms in 'T', stretch up on to toes and fall forwards into the water showing a slightly dished straight line throughout.
